Zachary Fulton leads The Herbalist’s Practice. His work centers on advanced Chinese herbal medicine for complex internal medicine cases, with a particular focus on heart health, healthy aging after 50, and patients living with several conditions at once.
He holds multiple professional licenses in Washington State and provides herbal medicine, acupuncture, and integrative regenerative therapies within a structured clinical framework designed to restore coordination between the body’s systems.
His post-graduate training includes advanced study in pulse-based diagnosis, herbal treatment planning, and complex case management with Bob Doane, EAMP, whose clinic has one of the highest patient volumes of any East Asian medicine practice in the United States.
He has also pursued extensive continuing education in injection therapies with John Lyftogt, MD, as well as functional medicine, advanced anatomy and physiology, and approaches that connect classical medical systems with modern biology.
How the body’s systems interact in chronic illness
Zachary’s clinical interest is how the cardiovascular, structural, neurological, digestive, and endocrine systems affect one another. In chronic illness, and especially later in life, problems rarely stay in one system.
Treatment is designed to improve coordination across those systems so the body can return to stable, functional patterns of regulation, and so several conditions can improve together instead of being managed one by one.
Workshops for practitioners and the public
Zachary is an author and educator whose work bridges Eastern medical knowledge and modern physiology. He teaches workshops and leads clinical demonstrations for practitioners, with an emphasis on diagnostic precision and practical treatment strategy.
He also offers public workshops that explain health and illness from a systems perspective, so people can better understand what is happening in their bodies and what they can do about it.
